Nationally, Sigma Alpha Epsilon is recognized as a brotherhood. Most chapters are made up of cisgender men, however, our chapter is not. We believe it to be more appropriate to call ourselves a siblinghood as we have numerous members who do not identify in the male spectrum and thus are not "brothers."
